The issue is with playback on MKV files and its a bit hard to describe. I have tried VLC player but just could never fall in love with it for one reason or another. I have since switched to PotPlayer which is very similar in terms of UI and features to GOM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.Normally I would mess around with the settings in a situation like this but I dont have the time right now to dig into it, so Im hoping others have a quick fixįor years I used Gom Player and didnt really have any issues, but long story short they started throwing ads in their product and am no longer using it as a result. I'm wondering what the correct workflow should be, even if it means going back to physical sources that we run through a Teranex. This is how I expect the translation to behave, and if I make those changes I can see and hear the files as they should be in quicktime player, but if I bring them into Resolve, then Resolve no longer sees the audio files in those tracks at all. If I try to do it as I would have is the days of FCP STUDIO, I can use a tool like cinema tools (in this case QT EDIT by digital rebellion) to change the metadata so that it reads as 23.976 and automatically slows the audio sample rate to 46034, thus pitching it down and extending the overall time of the clip by 4%. It reads the 25fps footage, then spits out a file that is 23.976- but the audio drifts out of synch and the new file is the same length as the original.

If I try to do this conversion using Resolve, it appears to work. I ultimately need to convert them into MXF media that is 23.976 to work in my project. I am working on a documentary that will ultimately be delivered as 23.976, but about 30% of the material is coming from overseas on PAL sources- some of it is analog video (BETA SP), but the rest will be camera files that are, for the most part, H.264 quicktimes that are 1920x1080 25FPS.
